This website about Je Tāranātha’s Collected Works was conceived and created (in 2023) by Adele Tomlin, writer, scholar and Dharma translator and founder of the first female-founded and sole-authored independent Dharma translations and research website, Dakini Translations. She has also created content (and websites) on other great Tibetan Buddhist masters’ Collected Works such as Longchenpa Rabjam, Je Gampopa, 16th Karmapa and more.
Adele is the author and translator of two books with Tāranātha’s Commentary on the Heart Sutra with foreword by scholar, Prof. Matthew Kapstein (LTWA, 2017, 2nd edition Dakini Publications, 2023) The Chariot that Transports to the Kingdom of the Four Kāyas by Bamda Geleg Gyamtso with foreword by Dr. Cyrus Stearns (LTWA, 2019) and has also written several articles and translations on or about Tāranātha that can be viewed in the English-language translations section of this website. For more about Adele’s background, qualifications, study and Dharma activities, including recommendations by scholars and teachers, see her personal website, here.
The website and information are intended to be a resource for all, without any particular focus or bias towards the different schools of Tibetan Buddhism. All materials are free to read, and the project is non-profit. Do not copy, re-publish or sell for profit. When used or quoted, please do the courtesy of citing the author-translator and website as your source.

Tāranātha was a lineage holder of both Jonang and Shangpa Kagyu and became one of the main inspirations for the Rimey (non-sectarian) master, Jamgon Kongtrul the Great. It is in that spirit of Kongtrul and non-sectarianism that I offer this website and resource.
May it be of benefit in inspiring people with the life of the great Jetsun Tāranātha, but also in doing more research and translations on his works
With special thanks to the Great Middle Way Buddhist Association who kindly and generously offered to sponsor the website project (after contacting them with my plan for it). More about their centre and activities in the USA are here.
